BAPTIZE OR BUST

How is it already March 13th?! Time is absolutely flying by! Every week goes by quicker and quicker!

I am so full of gratitude and joy! I was able to witness our friend Janie's baptism this past week, and it was so special. It was a miracle that she was able to be baptized because she got her colon removed, so she can't even take a bath, let alone be immersed in water for her baptism (because getting her colostomy bag wet is treacherous). We almost had to do a proxy baptism, but with A LOT of faith (and doctors permission of course) we were able to baptize her safely! Her brother who passed away a year ago was a member and I can only imagine how much cheering he was doing on the other side as he watched that happen!!

My medical assistant skills came in handy as her husband and I got her colostomy bag all fixed up after she was baptized. Two elders got in the water to ensure her safety. Her husband (the one I mentioned a while back who hadn't been to church since 1988) bore his testimony about the gospel and how God doesn't give up on his children. I will forever be grateful I got to be apart of their journey :)

One more cool story!! We are teaching a guy named Larry! He is awesome! We gave him 3 Nephi 11 to read for homework and when we saw him 5 days later he walked in apologizing... we assumed he forgot to read 3 Nephi 11. NOPE. He said "I'm sorry I went ahead and finished the entire book, and everything just made so much sense". EVERY MISSIONARIES DREAM!!

I remember looking at my mission call and thinking how miserable I was going to be out here in Missouri. But it's been the complete opposite. Don't get me wrong, there are times that are tough. But I love it here! God humbled me to dust calling me to the midwest/south... and I am SO grateful for it haha :))) The people here are AMAZING! Life is so good, and I am just so happy! Take a moment this week and just be grateful for where you are and who you're with. It makes all the difference.

I love you all!!! Keep on L-I-V-I-N!!
