RANDALLS AND RACCOONS

Wow so much happened this week. Lots of highs and lots of lows! Definitely learning how to embrace every experience I have out here, good or bad.

RANDALL #1
Sister Lilly Randall and I went on exchanges last Friday! We know each other from back home, so it was fun being able to spend the day with her and learn from her! We spent the day teaching, knocking doors, getting delicious pizza at a waterfront restaurant (some random members even paid for it), and praying on doorsteps. We were walking through a neighborhood and we saw a door open and 7 raccoons were just walking into this house. We went up to the front door to tell the woman that there were raccoons in her home, but she was hard of hearing and couldn't understand us... I bet she found out eventually what we were trying to say haha.

RANDALL #2
Randall is a 28-year-old neighbor of someone we are teaching that is on baptism date. We met him last week in passing and later that day I had a prompting to go back and give him a Book of Mormon. We went back and taught him a whole lesson, and he was really receptive! He showed progress when we reached out a couple days later he was saying he was really interested and was gonna read the whole book. Out of nowhere in our text thread, he asked if he could ask a question not pertaining to what we had been talking about. We unknowingly said yes, and this was his response:

"Ok so like I second guessed asking this at first but I prayed about it and felt peace about it so it's actually a question for Sister Pratt... I would like to know if she would like to go to dinner sometime"

On another note, we hosted a stop smoking workshop for 3 of our friends. Donna (our elect investigator!) was the only one who showed up. It was really emotional seeing her try and separate smoking from her identity and seeing her give us all her cigarettes took so much faith and courage. We were so proud of her, but unfortunately after 24 hours she relapsed. We are going to work with her, keep teaching her, support her, and God will take care of the rest!

Our new friend Deb is so amazing. After we meet with her, I am always emotionally drained because of hearing all her heartaches and pain in her life. Nonetheless, her faith is UNSHAKEABLE! It's inspiring! I was able to give her a home blessing and she bawled through the whole thing, please keep her in your prayers.

I'm so grateful to be a missionary and I am learning and growing every second! They weren't kidding when they said being a missionary is hard, but it is so rewarding! The Bentonville Temple was dedicated on Sunday and I couldn't be happier, so neat being able to hear Elder Bednar speak! Love you all endlessly <3
