RANDALLS AND RACCOONS

Image
Wow so much happened this week. Lots of highs and lots of lows! Definitely learning how to embrace every experience I have out here, good or bad.  RANDALL #1 Sister Lilly Randall and I went on exchanges last Friday! We know each other from back home, so it was fun being able to spend the day with her and learn from her! We spent the day teaching, knocking doors, getting delicious pizza at a waterfront restaurant (some random members even paid for it), and praying on doorsteps. We were walking through a neighborhood and we saw a door open and 7 raccoons were just walking into this house. We went up to the front door to tell the woman that there were raccoons in her home, but she was hard of hearing and couldn't understand us... I bet she found out eventually what we were trying to say haha.  RANDALL #2   Randall is a 28-year-old neighbor of someone we are teaching that is on baptism date. We met him last week in passing and later that day I had a prompting to go back and g...

BLESSINGS IN BRANSON

Image
This week I was able to witness an extremely powerful priesthood blessing for one of my favorite members of our ward, Geneva. We went to the hospital with the elders, and she was struggling so much. But seeing the impact the blessing made on her with feelings of relief, comfort, and peace was so beautiful to witness.  There have also been some not so literal blessings I see everyday. The biggest blessing this past week was putting one of our friends on date to be BAPTIZED! I am so excited for Donna!! All she has to do is quit her smoking habit of 50 years... easy peasy with the Lord on your side right?! There is also this guy we have been teaching who has met with missionaries on and off for two years. This past Sunday we were able to get him to church for his FIRST TIME ever! So pumped about that. There are even tiny blessings I see everyday, from hearing rock music in the gas station (and taking a little longer to fill up my drink so I can soak it all in) to having a little dog f...

SHEEP STEALERS

Howdy howdy! I have now been in Branson for 2 weeks and let me tell ya... something random and unexpected happens everyday here. From getting a stern talking to from flat-earthers to hearing stories of someone who has been struck by lightning 4 times, nothing surprises me anymore haha! Last Thursday we went to Bentonville for training. We learned how to let the label of doubt yield the label of faith and how through faith miracles are manifested. It was amazing! It has been so cool to see the Lord's hand in the details of everything I do out here. It is crazy to see how the Lord puts you in the right place in the right time. We also got to see the temple, and I am SO EXCITED for it to open in a couple weeks.  Me and my comp were doing some finding when we had a prompting to visit that ELECT friend I told you guys about last week. We walked up to his place and caught him walking out with boxes. He told us he was at the lowest point of his life; he just got fired and his mom had a st...
