SPIRITUAL GOLDMINE
We have been the busiest Branson bees! 4-5 lessons a day, member meals, tracting, exchanges in Springfield! You can't stop us!
My favorite guy, John (TacoBell Employee) told us a week ago he doesn't want to come to church until he "looks the part". Our amazing ward missionary leader bought him a white shirt and tie and John came to church in it, happy as can be!!
Happy moments:
-Exchanges in Springfield with my MTC comp sis sloan! (Miss you broadbent)
-Getting to eat Chipotle for the first time since I've left on my mission
-Getting to see The Hughes Brother's Christmas Show on the strip!!
-Drinking the best gourmet hot cocoa at a cafe we do comp study at
-Did service for a guy who worked with Metallica and met Zack Wilde so I got to see the coolest photos
-Being friends with the entire Taco Bell staff and getting free food whenever we go in
Moments I haven't enjoyed as much:
-Waking up at 6:30 am everyday
-Bipolar weather
-Setting up rides for our friends to get to church
-Helping Donna quit smoking
-Lessons falling through
There is this apartment complex we like to knock doors at, because it is super close to where we live. And this past week it has been a goldmine for really crazy spiritual promptings and experiences. To give you an example, we were praying about where to knock and got an impression to knock this one door in the very back of the complex. We knocked... nothing. Knocked again... nothing. As we were walking away, a 24 y/o girl answered in a rush but wanted to hear our message. I had a prompting to open to a verse about God's Love! She started crying and said she hasn't been able to feel God's love recently and doesn't feel like she deserves it. It was just what she needed. She was so touched that she got OUR number and she set up a follow-up appointment with US! Moments like that make it all worth it :)
Overall, me and Sister Reese are just absolutely living it up here in Branson MO! I love my comp, I lucked out. Just finished my 2nd transfer on the mission and it looks like I am staying here throughout the holidays with reesy's piecey's YEEE HAW!
